Allons a Lafayette- Joseph Falcon and Cleoma Breaux (1928)

Rating-- 7/10

I found "Allons a Lafayette" to be a very cute and catchy song (it stops being cute when you look up the lyrics, which are French). It seems to be the first ever commercial recording of Cajun music, which led to a demand in the 1930s for even more swamp music from Louisiana, to get that bayou feeling you get when listening to this.

I like this for the reason of the accordion groove, which has a definite rhythm, with the guitar strumming by Cleoma Breaux, and I like the sound of Joseph Falcon's singing voice. It reminds me a lot of  "How High The Moon" by Les Paul and Mary Ford, with the kind of messy-but-charming music and the singing couple.
